  1. I have at least one mag for my 17 that will chamber a round without the mag being fully seated. So doing the press check won’t confirm a seated mag necessarily.
    Took me a while to figure out why my gun kept not chambering after the 1st or 2nd round fired, even though I would slam the mag in.
    Turned out to be something with that mag, factory Glock mag too. Notches not lined up with the mag catch right or something. It actually flexes out the bottom of the grip/mag well when fully seated.
    Anyway, you might want to add a pull motion on the mag or something to your ready routine.
    Just a thought.

    • Although I have never experienced that particular issue myself I might add a smack or a tug in there somewhere to be certain. Thanks for the tip!
